I say "our" because I coordinate a group of spontaneously artists and media professionals in order to raise spiritual awareness especially children and adolescence. Want to contribute to this purpose? You are welcome to our new space, our new home, ready to share with you our work and our love!
About us
"Developments in Cuba" is a project of social and community involvement and socio-cultural animation for children and adolescents from marginalized communities aimed at enhancing the artistic training and development of ethical values, aesthetic and environmental communities, through arts.
Evolution (September 2008), with the increase of the patterns of degeneration in Cuban society, proposes to bring to disadvantaged communities to consume not only art, but the ability to create and enhance your individual creative sensibility, applying it in life daily, admiring and distinguishing cultural values present in each of its members.
Our project works on critical consciousness and social development of youth and adults, bringing them the option of taking their own community changes, the direction of its expressions, civil, individual and collective, to their credit, awakening dormant abilities of the community in general from participation in basic artistic workshops, making space to implement a real freedom for artistic expression of the younger generation.
Are the objectives? encourage the development of children and youth in the community through art enhance the expression of individuality and awareness of social reciprocity groups promote autonomy, self-responsibility and self-management for the change of physical and psychological environments of communal space Relying on non-directive pedagogy, dinamizamos individuals and groups with cultural and environmental concerns, no matter their artistic training base. Hold workshops in different branches of art, introducing the basics of painting, theater, literature, dance, music, mask making and handicrafts.
Evolution has worked since 2008 offering workshops in different communities in the City of Havana (Plaza of the Revolution, October 10, the Hill, Alamar, Havana Vieja), with groups of children living in poor communities by throughout the city. We inserted in our work as independent projects Trencito, Demóngeles, the Incubator, the Chameleon Vision Bajocosto, Audiovisual Production Cooperative Patchamama, Playback Theatre Company Inside Body, which are strong in their work in different fields of art. We also worked in collaboration with Project Vanguard Independent artists in the capital and Omni Zonafranca, Talent Cubano, Scraping, Decontamination Mental Ormigas Mad, Matraka (Rotilla festival), Sahily Borrego (photographer), Claudia Rojas (film and theater actress ), among many other good artists and professing Independent Emerging Art in Cuba and other countries in Europe and Latin America.
As a project that has worked with many leading artists in the Pop Art Cuban Evolution has found that individual creativity is a source of empowerment of civil society and therefore proposes art as a way to intervene and transform reality peacefully. Through art we can find the inner freedom, awakening the capacities that we have and train young people that can sustain the achievements of this work to ensure the formation of new generations of Cubans that vibrate in the freedom that art and artistic creation offers .
We are a team that binds to intervene directly in the communities, with support and support from friends and activists of the city and around the world. In addition, collaborations loans advice, assistance, executive production, art direction and event documentation Vanguard Emerging Art in Cuba and the world. This is just the beginning! We have much to share yet!!

About us

Evolution community brings to reality the possibility of observing their creative and take art as a way to achieve inner freedom. We promote values of self-responsibility, community, humanity and closer relationship with nature, and try to raise awareness of real empowerment of community members, giving them tools to feel confident in their skills and practices, based on the art method.
